Pronunciation: eye-ZAY-uh
His Place Among the High Priests
Isaiah is thirteenth in the order of the 24 High Priest Communities. He is brother to the Grass. His Watcher is Rachatsel, “Washing of God,” who teaches cleanliness.
His Name
His father Amoz, whose name means “to be strong,” “in his old age begat a son and he named him Isaiah, which means God has saved” (I Achee 5:78).
What He Established
Isaiah established that all can know the Lord personally. Through this, he allowed Christ to be personal to each person and unchanging — or, more simply said, to be personal.
What Isaiah Named God
At Achee 5:108, Isaiah, a brother to the grass who feels Messiah in all things and is thereby made clean, named the Son of God Immanuel, which by interpretation means God with us — that by bringing justice to the House of Israel, all men might know Messiah and be blessed from on high.
His Youthful Vision
As a youth in the house of the Lord, Isaiah beheld His burden with the sin of the place and saw His sufferings for mankind. Moved greatly, he vowed to offer his own life unto Messiah, learned writing, and set down his vision — but the people would not heed him, for he was only a youth.
