Pronunciation: KOH-kuh-bel

His Place Among the Fallen Watchers

Fourth to Semihazah. Bound to the element of phosphorus. His evil teaching: fear.

What He Was Meant to Be

Kokabel’s original definition was “God gives gentle refreshing rest in the darkness” — he could have been a guardian angel of those who sleep. Phosphorus is one of the gentlest forms of light there is; old rotten logs, though not phosphorus themselves, glow in the dark the same tender way. Had Kokabel continued in his created order, he would have been the elder watcher of holiness of personal revelation, light, and understanding.

What He Chose Instead

Kokabel chose the definition that “darkness belongs to evil, and evil will get you yet.” He is now the chief element in the incense of sorcerers and witches — the scriptures tell in Exodus 30:38 that anyone using such incense is “to be cut off from among the people.” The fear people rightly feel when Kokabel’s workers are active is the very opposite of light, understanding, and personal revelation, and prevents them.

What He Teaches

Kokabel teaches astrology, the zodiac, and horoscopes — a substitute for light, understanding, and personal revelation. He is master of darkness and secrets, master of fear, purveyor of mystery and hidden things, and maker of false prophets, human predators, serial killers, sorcerers, and burglars.
