Pronunciation: NOH-uh
His Place Among the High Priests
Noah is fourth in the order of the 24 High Priest Communities. He is bound to the element of fruit. His Watcher-sister is Chafetiel, “Delight of God,” who teaches not to complain. Noah gave the Son of Man a new name and called Him “The Man” (I Achee 2:100).
His Name
Before his birth the Lord said of him, “And he shall be called Noah” (Grandmothers 10:23). “The name Noah is the element of righteousness as it means quiet rest, and he by the intervention of his agency decreed the conditions under which the Son of Man could find quiet rest indeed” (I Achee 2:100; Strong’s #5146 and #5118).
What He Established
Noah established the limits for Christ’s need for endurance. Through this, he allowed Christ to have an end to His suffering — or, more simply said, to not suffer.
His Wife
His wife is Emzara, meaning delightful fruit — Noah himself is called the brother to the fruit of trees, matching the very element bound to his place among the High Priests.
Building the Ark
Shem, Ham, and Japheth built the ark under the guidance of their father, and no man even knew what transpired in their task of building it.
The Flood
Rains descended with great pouring, wind rolled forth with force, and the waters rose rapidly, churning and covered with debris. Animals fled the rising water and gathered around the ark; Noah told them not to be afraid. A woman ran with her children through the flood, and a wave carried them forward into the waiting hands of those already aboard. For the wicked in the valley below, the waters came so suddenly there was no escape. In the night, the ark lifted upon the waters, rose above the treetops, and was carried east by the wind, crashing on the waves through rains so intense nothing could be seen. By morning, a great calm had settled, and a vast new sea stretched out where the valley had been.
Using the Water Tablet
The Water Tablet was given by the Lord to represent Living Water and to guide people toward the spiritual level needed to build holy communities. Noah used this same tablet, through circle drawing, to call forth the flood.
