Pronunciation: OH-sheh-rel
Who She Is
Osherel is summer, twenty-first among the Eerkodeshoi in their order of inscription. Her name means “happiness of God.” She is the body of the feelings of enjoyment of God.
What She Teaches
Osherel teaches daily skills, and is counselor of women in tasks like spinning, sewing, and weaving. She is elder of providers, and guardian of the self-reliant and those of good initiative. She heralds the seriousness of life and calls youth to virtue. She is master of prudence and morality, and protector of modest youth. She is friend to women who live in the present moment, and teacher and supporter of the importance of passages. She teaches people to enjoy life.
Her Visiting Nature
Osherel is like a visitor — it seems every time she comes, she isn’t normally there. Little animals are all born and grow up with her; by the time of the cold wind, most babies have been weaned and have moved on. She is the bond between parent and child that is not instruction or reprimand or discipline, but the joy of each other’s company. When you approach her, be ready to talk with her as a visitor just passing by — open your doors and windows and let her come and go at will. She can teach the true, charitable depths of romance and courtship.
Her Bond and Her Judgment
She is companion of Kayal, their friendship eternal. She is enemy of those who threaten others, and will be the accuser of those who are unfaithful at the Day of Judgement.
Repentance and Guardianship
When you approach Osherel for advice, first repent in relation to charity.
Her Place Among the High Priests
Malatsar, twenty-first of the High Priests, is brother to Osherel.
