Pronunciation: RAH-mel
His Place Among the Fallen Watchers
Sixth to Semihazah. Bound to the element of petroleum. His evil teaching: the power of man.
What He Was Meant to Be
Ramel’s original definition was “the course of human events will go God’s way.” He had the spirit and feeling of making things work out for good — oil still carries that feeling of helping things work, but now it is in behalf of the world rather than God. It would have been holy for the earth to supply mankind with anointing oil drawn from the earth itself; being anointed with petroleum oil instead is the exact opposite of being anointed with oil from plants.
What He Chose Instead
Ramel chose the definition that “the world and its powerful ones will have their way, and you won’t be able to stop them.” He taught men how to succeed in power and carry on sin.
What He Teaches
Ramel is master of coups. He teaches the illusion of dependency on man — people influenced by him mistakenly feel trapped by society, believing that if they lose the sustenance man gives them, they will die, when in truth God is able to sustain them better. Ramel is master of tearing the hearts of men, helper of the haughty and arrogant, and elder of the unclean and despicable.
