Pronunciation: SAH-ree-el
His Place Among the Fallen Watchers
Sixteenth to Semihazah. His name means “Crescent of God.” Bound to the element of lead.
What He Was Meant to Be
When created, God gave Sahriel the definition “God’s son is the truth and the light.” He could have been the language of repentance, reminding man that his need to change is itself the light and the truth he needs.
What He Chose Instead
Sahriel chose instead to be his own definition — “truth is what you think it is; there is a different truth for everyone.” The text notes that as man’s knowledge explodes in the end of days, Sahriel will come to his full strength.
What He Teaches
Sahriel teaches the signs of the moon and the deception and misleading of man. He is maker of false calendars, master of enchantresses, diviners, and palm readers, and master of public criers and carriers of news. Sahriel is master of those who sexually corrupt the innocence of children, and the enemy of charity. He fights against the Gathering.
