Pronunciation: ZEH-gel (also spelled Zeqel and Zeciel across the six books)

His Place Among the Fallen Watchers

Eighth to Semihazah. Bound to the element of generated electricity. His name means “Flash of Fire of God.” His evil teaching: hatred.

What He Was Meant to Be

When first created, Zegel held the definition “God is life-giver and the source of all consciousness.” He had this spirit so strongly he could have been a major factor in raising people from the dead, and could have been the common thread linking all forms of life — earth, plant, animal, and man. He could have been the elder connecting man with Messiah through the language of repentance, and brought the feeling of “home.”

What He Chose Instead

Zegel chose instead the definition “man can make life, evil has better life, alien life is superior.” By this, he became the enemy of the priesthood that teaches repentance, and the enemy of all people who are natural and close to the earth and close to Messiah. He is the herald that the unnatural is superior, and the evil spirit of being destitute, homeless, unloved, and alone.

What He Teaches

Zegel taught the signs of lightning flashes. He is master of cross-breeding and all the Niphilim, instructor of the Niphilim, and master of the manipulation of life and genetic engineering. He teaches that man should deny the natural and worship the supernatural, and is master of fantasy, fornication, and vain imaginings. He is the enemy of good mental health and faith in God.
